Howard muck spreader.

I resprayed it green from the original orange when I bought it ten years or so ago. The spreader works well and has been used every year including this year on a small holding of six acres.

It needs a few holes plating/welding and two of the flails on the end of the chains are missing. It is in good working order and can go straight to work. The bearings are good and free moving as are the wheels and tyres.

We are only selling as a neighbour is selling up and I have acquired his newer spread. Tractor not for sale and for scale and context only.

I have the original warranty operating manual and illustrated parts list which will come with the spreader.

Easy access close to the M62 rochdale, loading not a problem, viewing not a problem but the auction will run to the end.

In terms of dimensions for transport. The back of the barrel to the hitch is 14 feet, the barrel overhangs from the rear axle by 2 feet and so it would go on a 12 foot trailer. In terms of width it is 6’7” from outside of tyres and so it will go on a standard width ifor if the sides are removed (best for strapping anyway).
