Vintage Rolled Gold Crucifix & Chain Hallmarked AJH.
This is a beautiful little rolled gold crucifix on a 16" chain, with a very plain & simple design, but with a fine grooved border on the front.
I believe it dates from the early 20th century and the surface of the crucifix shows light wear which to me would be commensurate to when it was made.
The back is clearly stamped 'Rolled Gold' & 'AJH' which in this case may well refer to Alfred James How, and would quite possibly make this Edwardian.
It is a beautiful example, looks stunning on, and both the crucifix & the chain are in lovely condition.
It will be posted in the small jewelry box it was given to me in, but this is not original or particularly nice, but protects the necklace well enough.
