the ball on top is 5 inches, but the whole thing is 8 inches tall and 5 inches wide.

the on button is kind of finnicky, the corner is chipped and i dont hear any sound when sound mode is on, other than all of this its a perfectly good plasma ball and works as shown in the listing images. batteries are not included, and it requires 6 AA batteries.
