Three images of this 127-year-old novel are shown below; this 1897 edition is one of the earliest English language editions of a novel first-published in Polish in 1896. This book is: Quo Vadis, by Henryk Sienkiewicz (winner of the 1905 Nobel Prize for Literature), Translated into English by Binion and Malevsky, Published by Henry Altemus Company, 1897. The book measures 8 1/4" x 5 1/2" and is 515 pages. It is in Very Good condition with the front interior hinge netting visible at the copyright, with the title page partially detached at the spine, and with some gentle overall wear. There are twelve, full-page, halftone illustrations (e.g., please see image #3 below) in Fine condition by M. de Lipman; they are printed on glossy paper, which is blank on the reverse. There is no former-owner's bookplate inside, no writing inside, and no foxing. The book will be shipped in a solid new box anywhere in the United States via USPS Media Mail for free.
