ANTIQUE c.1880 SURGERY Glass & Metal SYRINGE, ANESTHESIA MEDICINE w/glass container they were together when found at the Estate. I see no maker marks or numbers on this item I think it must be made of some kind of silver or silver alloy.

c.1870  - 1880s. This came from the estate sale of Dr. George C. Kendle who was born in Posey County, Indiana on 22 October 1853 to James M. Kendle (b. ca. 1821 in Indiana) and Josephine Louise Embree (b. 23 March 1832 in Indiana).  He went to Bellevue Hospital Medical College in New York, established in 1859. He graduated in 1879 and practiced medicine in Abilene, Kansas for two years. Kendle returned to Indiana in 1881 and began private practice in Princeton, Gibson County. According to the 1930 census, he was still living and practicing in Princeton.
