This is for a beautiful antique set of a small porcelain teacup and saucer made by Charles Field Haviland in Limoges France. It is lovely and delicate with yellow roses on the outside and inside of cup and on the saucer and even in the center of the saucer. The design in the porcelain is something I have not seen before. The circle on the saucer to hold the cup is flower petals! Which matches the design at the base of the cup! More flower petals-Stunning!

The green backstamp under the glaze, with CFH GDM FRANCE, was used between 1891 and 1899. That makes this approximatley 130 years old, and made during the reign of Queen Victoria, the great great grandmother of King Charles! The round red decorator mark was used starting in 1862. CHF is for Charles Field Haviland and GDM is for Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Morel. The green backstamp changed in 1900 to GDA, Gerard, Dufraisseix & Abbot, so these teacups and saucers were made during the 1890’s

This set is in amazing antique shape. It was really loved and well taken care of. I looked closely with a light and see no chips, crazing, or cracks. The bottom of one of the cups is a bit rough, with some wear over time. Please see picture # 16, which also shows a close up of the back stamp. The design in the porcelain is so intricate, and with their age of 130 years, there may be dulled glaze in places, or imperfections, but, they are in very good condition. The gold accent painted on the handles, does show some wear. So please look at the pictures closely, and if you see something or have any questions, please reach out to me!

The cup is 2 & 1/4 inches high, 2 & 1/4 inches in diameter, and holds 1/3 of a cup. The saucer is 5 & 1/4 inches in diameter. The last picture shows the cup and saucer next to a standard teacup so you can get a better idea of it’s size. Again, the saucers have a decorative pattern imprinted into the porcelain around the edge of the saucer, and a larger flower petal pattern around the center of the saucer, circling a yellow rose. There is also an imprint design in the porcelain on the outside top of the cups, and at the base of the cups, that I hope can be seen and appreciated in the pictures.
