Rototherm 1930's Art Deco Thermometer

Working Fahrenheit temperature guage. 

Cream bakelite surround and base with company logo of SGE Signals embossed in black. The thermometer face is the more unusual and rarer black with white markers. 


Condition : 

The bakelite surround is cracked across the top and has a chip at the back of the crack. There is some wear to the SGE Signals logo. The needle is rusted in places and may have been painted white originally. There are some small pieces inside the face. 

The back of the thermometer is marked so please see the pictures. It has it's original screw and washer which is embossed in very small letters "please remove to adjust".

The Bimetallic Thermometer was made by the British Rototherm Co. Ltd, of London England and the British Patent detailed on the face as number 378314 dates to 1932.
