A decorative hand carved wooden tray made in Eccles, Salford in 1938.

It has been carved from one piece of wood.

In the centre there is a Sunflower and each end of the tray there is a handle.

From end to end it measures 30.5cm x 14.3cm wide x 3.3cm deep.

Carved in relief on the underside are the artisan’s initials ‘CB’,

the date ‘1938’ and the place it was made ‘Eccles’.

In very good condition with any wear in keeping with age and use.
