Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the birth of Tomica← New colors for the Galant GTO MR!! Although this category was born in the United States, it is said that the Mitsubishi Galant GTO, which was born in 1970, was the first in Japan.
The top grade MR is a high-performance version equipped with Mitsubishi's first DOHC engine, and its exterior features include the stripe shape on the side and the duct on the bonnet.
In 1972, the MR also changed its grille, tail lamp color, body color settings, etc., and the name "Colt" was removed, and it disappeared in 1973. The year 1970, when the Galant GTO appeared, was also the year Tomica was born.
Because it is a popular car model, it was released in 1972 even in Tomica, and the No. 1 of the 1/45 scale Tomica Dandy series was also the Galant GTO.
