The interior is in exceptional order, fully reupholstered contoured seats, new deep pile black carpets with Alfa Romeo rubber over mats, sound deadening, excellent door cards with all original furniture, perfect unmarked dash top, seatbelts, contrasting Alfa Rosso Italia dash facia and original simple toggle switches. The original twin-spoke Alfa polished steering wheel is unmarked... Stunning
Exterior
The classic lines of the Spider Duetto. Understood to be the last project led by “Pinin” Farina in person, its gorgeous flowing lines earned it the nickname cuttlefish.
Finished in Alfa Rosso Italia (Code 514). The bodywork was subject to an extensive restoration and was completed in December 2014 by Alfa Workshop, Jamie Porter Limited, Royston, Herts. The paintwork today presents beautifully with a uniform deep shine. Panel fit is excellent with perfect gaps, door closures and flowing straight lines.
Much of the brightwork throughout is original and looks stunning, the door mirrors are the original fitment, and all badges are in perfect order. Excellent original Carello lighting to the rear and uprated Wipac halogen headlights, new black hood professionally fitted by Surrey Trimming Limited... Simply stunning throughout

Wheels - The 5 Alfa pressed steel wheels have all been fully refurbished, the chrome embossed Alfa Romeo hub caps are in perfect order. Sitting on excellent all-matching Radar Dimax Classic tyres 165 R14 which is a sports tourism tyre specially developed for classic cars.
Brakes - Fast or slow the fully overhauled servo-assisted all-round disc brakes offer a positive and reassuring feel at all speeds.
Suspension - Front and rear anti-roll bars offer true sports car handling.
Engine & Transmission
Fitted with the original 1296cc 4 in-line twin-cam engine designed on classic Alfa Romeo lines and developed through vast Alfa racing experience. The history file documents that the engine and 5-speed gearbox were fully rebuilt by Benalfa Performance Cars, Westbury, Wilshire and has covered a little over 13k miles since. Other upgrades include a full stainless steel exhaust system and 4 branch manifold, 123 electronic ignition, Petronix coil, etc...
The history file documents that the Weber twin 40 carburetors have been fully rebuilt and set up by Surrey Rolling Road Limited in October 2023 and 76.1 HP was recorded.
On the road she cannot fail to impress. Very lively acceleration, the clutch is light in operation, the gear changes slick and precise, starts hot or cold with ease. The Alfa's raspy exhaust note and sweet Weber throat music... Magical

Here we have a very rare UK home market Alfa Romeo Spider 1300 Junior Registered new 13th May 1970. The history file documents that this Duetto was the 259th right hand drive car to be built of only 266 in total.
An extensive full restoration was completed in December 2014 by Alfa Workshop, Jamie Porter Limited at a cost of £17,994
The comprehensive history file contains 24 past MOT certificates the oldest being 7th July 1977 with a recorded 46,753 miles, past road fund licence discs, past owner information and old logbooks, many invoices for servicing, parts, engine and gearbox rebuild, restoration, maintenance, old photographs dating back to the late 1970's and a framed picture of the actual car used in a photo shoot for a paint company.
Taxation Class: Historic Vehicle - Zero road tax and MOT exempt. For peace of mind, a fresh 12 month MOT will be issued upon sale. HPi clear with certificate included.
