1974 Yamaha 650 café racer
This Yamaha has been completely disassembled and rebuilt asa café racer with no expense spared to bring it to the highest level. It hasbeen ridden about 1000 miles since its complete rebuild and had the valves set,clutch adjusted, and carbs readjusted/balanced. Comes with spares (exhaust,points, oilfilters, etc).
This bike draws a crowd wherever it goes. It handles andstops like a modern bike with the character of a vintage one. Original engineto the frame and clear title in hand. The following is some of the work that has been done:
· Engine
o Disassembled and painted with PPG base/clear
o All bearings cleaned and inspected in the engineand transmission
o New seals, gaskets and O rings
o New rings and cylinders honed
o Valve seats re-cut and valves lapped with newseals
o Carbs rebuilt and rejetted ( BS38)
o New points, condenser, and advance mechanism
o Cartridge type oil filter added ( these did nothave a replaceable element when new)
o Oil cooler added
o 2 into 1 header added (original reproductionfull exhaust is provided as well)
o New coils
o Roughly 1000 miles since assembled
· Frame/bodywork/suspension
o Frame and tank fully stripped and repainted withPPG base/clear
o Stripes and logos are not stickers/decals butare painted in and cleared over
o Frame has been de-horned ( unused bracketsremoved and smoothed)
o Rear shocks replaced with new period red wingshocks and springs
o Rear wheel re-laced with a 17 inch hoop,allowing for modern performance radials
o GSXR 1100 front end has been added

§ Forks rebuilt with new seals andre-sprung/valved for the bike’s weight
§ Polished triple clamp
o Hand-made fiberglass seat pan with electricalseasily accessed underneath
o Clip-ons
o New tires (under 500 miles)

o Starter motor rebuilt with new brushes andbushings
§ Updated starter gears and springs
o Bike fully rewired to modern specs
§ 6 place fuse panel with blade fuses
§ Relay controlled main and lights which improvescharging performance and prevents switchgear from overheating
§ Solid state regulator/rectifier from Ricks whichis compatible with lithium battery
§ Original handlebar switches rebuilt
speedometer has been replaced and mileage is not accurate
