Relic'd 70s Avon Rose Morris LP Style Electric Guitar.

Here, we have a 1970s Avon Rose Morris that came to me as a stripped out body.  It was originally black but has undergone a repaint at some point in its life.  The top of the guitar is a light bronze, and the back is an off-white with what I can describe as a stencilled star effect in a burgundy type colour. The previous seller described the paintjob as 'dodgy', but to me, it was perfect. It has the perfect roadworn effect I'm always looking for.  Using my usual treatment, using heat, a wire brushing/wire wool, a waxing, and sealed in with some antique varnish, has created this roadworn/years spent in a smokey den effect.  I've sat on it for a few days, and it has really grown on me.

All my builds use a mix of new and used parts and follow a recycling/upcycling process.

The used is obviously the body.  The new are the neck, tuners, wiring, and pickups.  The tunomatic bridge is new, but the tailstop is a unit from an old project.

Output comes from two humbucker units, rated at 7.2k and 8.2k at the neck and bridge. You get a nice, strong, powerful tone, but it's not a screamer.  They run through the classic 2V 2T controls setup and a three-way switch.  The neck is an LP/SG style, keeping the scale length at 24.75 inches. Fully loaded, the weight comes in at 7.75LBs, which is 3.5kg in new money.

This guitar can be seen and heard on my Instagram page: @johnsguitarprojects

The clip is from a reverse angle, and the guitar is actually righthanded.

All my builds look fantastic as a feature hanging on the wall of a man-cave/she-shed,  but they are fully functioning guitars that are there to pick up and play.

Please feel free to message any questions or even make me an offer.  Many thanks for taking the time to have a look.
