1968-74 vintage German Steiff Betthupferlfuchs or Nightcap rabbit is in good condition, complete with a Steiff button and chest tag.  The toy was designed to hide a sweet, prize, or coin underneath the felt skirt so there is no body or legs.   This collectable toy was only made by Steiff for a short period of time and is about 18 cms tall (to the top of the ears).  The plush is mohair with the rabbit having large eyes with a stitched nose and mouth plus whiskers. An unusual item.
