Yarn is sold by the cone. Not by weight. Buying yarn by the cone is usually a lot cheaper than by the skein. Plus, no need to wind it into a ball. The yarn is ready-to-knit on the cone. Please check my prices compared to your favorite yarn shop or e-commerce site.

Viscose-base yarn made exclusively from Bamboo plants. These yarns are extraordinarily soft and drapey. Knitters, Weavers, crafters. embroiderers and trimmers will find beautiful applications for these yarns.

The raw material is derived exclusively from the pulp of bamboo trees grown under sustainable agricultural practices. Because the base is consistently lighter than that of pulp taken from typical trees harvested for common rayon, the production of our Bamboo yarn is subject to less chemical treatment than that usually applied to the production of common rayon.

The yarn can be employed in multiple ends to achieve a variety of weights.

CONE WEIGHT

Most cone weights vary from their listed average weights. Precision-wound cones are accurate for yardage, but vary in weight according to incidental moisture.

Most of our cones are "mill put ups" which means that they are not precision wound to a specific weight. Cones within a style will vary by ounces and sometimes new dyelots  can have significantly smaller or larger weighted cones. For example,  Chenille cones can range from 1.0 lbs to close to 2.0 lbs, with the softer , lighter colors  at the lower end and the darker jewel tones at the upper end.  Our Perle Cottons & .75 Softball are precision wound to 1.10 lbs each. Yarn is sold by the cone, not by weight.

COLOR

For dyelot uniformity, please order sufficient yarn to complete projects. Shades vary from lot to lot.

We strive to display colors of our yarns as accurately as possible. Nevertheless, differences in device screens unavoidably will result in differences in appearance of the colors from one screen to another and from the original yarns themselves.

Upon request, we provide finger reelings of colors for shade or dye-lot evaluation. For purposes of making your own swatches, you can purchase cone windings of any colors, available at a nominal charge.

It is not possible to guarantee all fibers for all possible end uses. We strive to maintain the highest quality in all of our yarns, which are thoroughly tested in a variety of applications. All yarns exhibit some, albeit small, degree of irregularity which must be taken into account.

Variegated dye processes can exhibit a relatively wide disparity of coloration from lot to lot or even within individual cones. Ultimately, your own care and judgment must be exercised in developing and making the final fabrication.

Returns are not accepted.
