Interior & Equipment
Original individual reclining seats, patinated red leather with centre armrests front and rear present beautifully. Red deep pile carpets with sound deadening and tailored over mats are in excellent order, refurbished door cards with flawless chrome furniture, original leather centre console, excellent original headlining and sun visors, full-width parcel shelf, locking glovebox and seatbelts with Jaguar clasps.
The original polished figured walnut dashboard, facia panel and door cappings are stunning throughout, all interior lighting, crystal clear Smiths gauges and Lucas ammeter, switches, and electrics work as they should. The original Jaguar steering wheel and Growler centre boss complete this stunning interior...
Exterior
The body was subject to a complete repaint in the summer of 2017, the history file contains many photographs of the detailed work carried out.
Painted in the original Jaguar colour of Silver Grey the paint finish and bodywork present in excellent order which is a testament to the quality of workmanship carried out.
Excellent panel fit, shut lines, gaps, and reassuring thud as you close the doors. The underside has been lightly undersealed throughout and presents in excellent order.
All external bright work is either original or replated and looks stunning throughout. Original Lucas lighting all around, unmarked glass, opening front and rear quarter lights... Wonderful

Wheels, Tyres & Brakes
The 5 chrome 72 spoke centre lock hub wire wheels and two-eared spinners present as new. Fitted with all matching quality Dunlop SP Sport 205/70 R15 tyres which are excellent all around.
Engine & Transmission
The fully detailed engine and engine bay houses the incredible Jaguar XK 3442cc straight 6 engine.
The original matching numbers complete engine and cylinder head have been comprehensively rebuilt at a cost of £15,000 by M & C Wilkinson, Everton, Nr Doncaster and have covered a mere 6,000 miles since. The history file documents the complete rebuild with supporting invoices and pictures of the build.
On the road, she is a joy to drive needless to say she runs perfectly hot or cold and sounds tremendous. The automatic gearbox selects and shifts with ease... A joy to drive and what a soundtrack.
Summary
Supplied new 2nd March 1964 to Official Jaguar dealers W H Shimmin & Co, Douglas Isle of Man registration number 9481 MN then later registered in England 16th March 1966 on its current registration number FFR 452D.
Sadly this beautiful S-Type has been supplied to us from a deceased estate and has not been used for the last couple of years. Last MOT with a couple of minor advisories was completed in September 2022 and has only covered 12 miles since.
This S-Type is sold requiring very light mechanical recommissioning to bring it back to its former glory.
The history file is simply outstanding containing many restoration pictures including the engine rebuild, documented maintenance history back to the early 1960's, the first issued MOT certificate dated 4th July 1969 with a recorded 18,977 miles plus a further 34 certificates, original owner handbooks and wallet, Jaguar sales brochure, Jaguar dealer directory and service book with many stamps from the first at 440 miles 10th April 1964 to 3rd May 1979 at 29,071 miles, Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate documenting this matching numbers S-Type originally supplied in silver grey with red leather.
Viewing is highly recommended and any inspection welcome. This S-Type was the pride and joy of the Jaguar Drivers Club Member and one from his private collection of other Jaguars and Bentleys.
To summarise... Low long term previous owners, fully documented very low 39,927 miles, matching numbers, outstanding documented history from new.
