IN THE CENTER OF THE LID IT HAS A LIMAGES ENAMEL MADE ON IRON REPRESENTING THE PORTRAIT OF A LADY, POSSIBLY A GYPSY, ON THE RIGHT YOU CAN SEE ILLEGIBLE INITIALS WHICH COULD BE THE SIGNATURE OF THE ENAMELER.

THE INTERIOR IS LINED IN FABRIC BUT IT IS NOT IN OPTIMUM CONDITION.

THE LID NEEDS A DEEP CLEANING BUT I DO NOT SPECIALIZE IN THAT AND I AM AFRAID OF DAMING IT.
