This is a CAD Equitek E-100-2 condenser mic. Please read carefully so you know exactly what to expect.
The mic was tested and while it passes signal and sounds good, it has a pretty noticeable background noise (hiss).
I can imagine that the mic might be still usable when recording very loud sources, snare drum for instance, but if you’re planning on using this for vocals, it will require addressing the issue.
Therefore it is sold as non working / for parts with no returns and priced accordingly.
The mic requires two 9V rechargeable batteries in order to work (on top of the phantom power). The batteries are NOT INCLUDED.
Please note - You will need NI-MH rechargeable batteries and not LI-ion.
I first tested the mic using 2 600mAh LI-ion batteries and it didn’t work properly. I then tried 2 280mAh NI-MH batteries (EBL was the brand) and it worked fine other than the mentioned issue above. (you can find these on eBay for less than $15 for the pair with a charger).
Also missing from the mic is the L-shaped stand mount.
The listing is for the mic only. No accessories included.
Cosmetically, it has some wear here and there. Light scraches, scuffs and marks.
