Fabulous Art Deco wall sconces in chromed metal decorated with black inset designs and featuring the original white glass shades.  Marked by Moe Bridges.  Each sconce is 11" high x 3 3/4" wide and protrudes from the wall about 3 1/2".  The glass shade slips into the holder and remains secure.  No chips or cracks to the glass shades. Wear on the chrome consistent with age and use.  One sconce has a scratch mark at the top left of the metal plate most likely from past movement of the glass shade secondary to previously loose screw.  There is a screw at the back bottom of each sconce that functions to secure the metal base glass holder to the back plate.  If this screw is not tight then the result is movement of the shade.  NOTE:  The sconce with the scratch mark has been fitted with a very narrow rubber gasket on the edge between the metal glass holder and the back plate to allow the glass shade to slip in place correctly without being too snug or too loose, thus allowing the slip shade to seat properly in its base.  This is a peculiar manufacturing issue with this particular sconce, as the loosened screw allowed the glass shade to sit properly sandwiched between the brown cardboard of the electric socket and the metal cup base, but this looseness resulted in slip shade movement.  Tightening the screw resulted in improper seating of the glass shade and it would not seat all the way down in the base.  The black rubber gasket remedy is barely noticeable. The shade is held in proper place and is securely seated.  There is also a narrow longitudinal crack to the black on/off turn knob at the bottom of this sconce which is not affecting its function.  I have included photos.  Moe Bridges Corporation of Milwaukee was founded by brothers Henrik and Ole Moe in 1919 where it was prominent until 1934 when it was acquired by Electric Sprayit Company.  Due to the short life of the Moe Bridges Co. light fixtures bearing its name are relatively rare. Moe Bridges specialized in reverse painted lamps.  As is no returns so please study photos.
