Very Hard To Find Matchbox Superfast #17 - The Londoner with rare"Beefeater Gin" labels in original complete 'I' type box, I've checked the model over (but not with a magnifying glass) and the red gloss paintwork appears to be in beautiful mint condition but just in case I've missed something please view all the pictures by using the zoom in option as this will give you a better idea of the actual condition of the model as this will be the exact item you will receive if you're the winning bidder, the model has white upper and lower decks, both the rare "Beefeater Gin" labels are complete and mint with lovely vivid colours, all the superfast wheels and axles are nice and straight, mint matt black painted Made In England Lesney Prod & Co Ltd metal base, the last two images in the listing have been taken from the 'Toymart Price Guide' to show the models year of manufacture along with details about it and what it's current value is estimated at due to the rare labels.
The original 'I' type box is in near mint complete condition with only minor age related/shelf wear on some edges and corners but nothing substantial, there's no repairs or pen marks and it's still nice and rigid with crisp bright colours, produced for one year only in 1979 this rare model itself in my opinion is a superb example of 1970's Matchbox Superfast new old stock with a lightly shelf worn original box, I've priced it accordingly taking into account the 'Toymart' value of £105.00 is just a rough guide and is mainly based on the rarity of the model so grab a bargain with a Buy It Now price of only £69.95.
