A very rare 'Air America' (1990) Original 4pp A5 UK Cinema Promotional Leaflet from 1990. Mint Condition (see below).

• Mel Gibson • Robert Downey Jr. - AIR AMERICA
The Few. The Proud. The Totally Insane.
Anything. Anywhere. Anytime.
It is 1969 and the Vietnam War is still raging. Across the border in Laos, Air America, boasting some of the world's most skilled civilian pilots, plays a supporting role, airlifting food and supplies to villagers and local anti-communist forces.
True, some of these supplies end up in the hands of an unsavoury warlord and his private army - but who cares?
One of the pilots, Gene Ryack, a maverick veteran of more than one war, flies his missions from a secret air base. He is sticking around long enough to complete a personal gun-running deal that will let him retire in comfort with his Laotian family.
Back in the US, Billy Covington, a young, rebellious and highly skilled flier, has just lost his job and his licence.
However, he is offered a unique opportunity in Laos, that will give him back his licence and allow him to fly the way he has always yearned to.
When Billy arrives, Gene is assigned to take him on his orientation flight. It doesn't take much orientation for Billy to realise he has landed in a lot more than he bargained for.
During their covert operations, Billy discovers that Air America's boss and an infamous Lao drug lord are involved in an illicit narcotics trade. Gene warns Billy to curb his curiosity, but he ignores the advice.
A US senator, there on a fact-finding mission, is kept in the dark about the drug trading until Billy takes one step too far.
When the secret gets out, the two pilots become enmeshed in the most uncommon and dangerous adventure of their lives.
