The copyright is 1934 but this may be a later version and I say that because of the ODDBALL brown cover. You don't see this version out there much. It may be a 'made for school libraries version' - but that's just a guess as I'm not a book dealer. It is a hardcover version but the pic on the front is different than the other' brown cover' ones I've seen. It's an alternate cover of sorts.
Condition wise - the pages show stains and aging - some corner bends and faint writing on only one page. It also has a tape fix on that page as well. The condition is fair inside but this one is rare because of the different front cover!
