Typical Philadelphia Construction with the side seat rails through tenoned into the rear stiles.


Condition: original condition as found. One chair has old break out repairs to the crest rail and central splat. Various other minor repairs, and use and wear marks are consistent with age and use. Original glue blocks, and original seat frames. The modern coverings can be taken off to reveal the muslin underneath. See pictures for more details.
