Great pair of civil war photos. One on the right is a tintype of a very young boy in his union uniform (can see the US belt buckle) with his rifle and bayonet at his side. Looks as if the table at his right may have been colored and retains a red color. The photo on the left is an Ambrotype of another young boy, close in age to the first. The Ambrotype has a beautiful border around it with American flags that says “ The Union now and forever” . The photos are in what seem to be their original pocket frame. The 2 half’s have separated overtime, but line up perfect and locking latch works perfect when sat one on top the other. We can only speculate that the 2 may be brothers or family members. Maybe even the same boy before and after the war? Please message us with any questions!
