Unique 1/72 & 1/48 Scale Model Airplane Vac-U-Form Canopies & Molds

Yes, I combine domestic shipping!

Please read the entire listing!!!

Please pay attention to the photos because they make up most of the description!

This listing is for a lot of 12 vintage, homemade, model airplane vac-u-form canopy molds and some additional vac-u-form canopies.

Background: My late father was a master model builder and back in the 1960s-1970s he used to make his own clear canopies for his models. He sometimes used the old 1960s Mattel Vac-U-Form machine. To do this properly you needed to cannibalize a kit’s fuselage and create a mold to use on the machine. This was the only way to get a truly clear canopy and have it fit properly to the cockpit area of the fuselage. Years later, after-market clear canopies were being made by companies like “The Squadron Shop”, etc. I’ve had these old molds kicking around for years and for nostalgic reasons didn’t throw them away. But, it occurred to me that maybe someone out there in “eBay land” could them. So, here they are!

I don’t know what aircraft some of these go to. They are mostly 1/72 scale, but 1 or 2 appear to be 1/48 scale. I do see what appears to be (and this is a guess) some of the following: 1/72 F4U Corsairs, Zeros, Spitfire, P-40s, a Wildcat, Bearcat, 1/48 Curtiss Hawk & Revell Spitfire MK. II and some others. As I stated, I’m guessing on some of these, so I make no guarantees. Please don’t ask me to get more specific than this. I’m not the expert my dad was.

Some of these items are the molds only and some come with clear vac-u-formed canopies made from these molds. Please pay close attention to the photos!!!

All the items I sell are placed in plastic bags prior to boxing them up so that they won’t be damaged if they get wet during shipping.

This listing is being sold “as is”.

Please feel free to ask questions.  I'll try to answer them the best that I can. Thank you.

SHIPPING: I combine shipping for items sold at the same time with the exception of items that will make the package too large to be mailed in one box. I try not to make a killing on postage and handling and I try to be fair (I have even lost money on postage). I like to use US Postal Service’s Priority mail for most items because they automatically come with some insurance. I package items very well. I do not take responsibility for damage caused by improper handling and shipping. Fragile items are placed in a bag prior to boxing and/or padding to prevent the chance of small parts coming off during shipping (due to rough handling) and then getting lost in the box or packaging.

Foreign Country Shipping: INTERNATIONAL BUYERS WILL HAVE TO USE THE “EBAY GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM”. THIS IS MAY BE EXPENSIVE AT TIMES. HOW IT WORKS IS I SHIP YOUR PURCHASE TO THE EBAY GLOBAL CENTER ADDRESS THAT EBAY PROVIDES ME AND THEN EBAY SHIPS TO YOUR COUNTRY. I CANNOT SEND INVOICES WITH COMBINED SHIPPING OR ANY EBAY GUIDED OPTIONS. EBAY HANDLES ALL OF THIS. Please remember to be aware of any added taxes or customs charges you may have to pay in your own country. Also, as stated in my listings, you are responsible for paying the postage for any returns and I'm not responsible for any damage due to the extensive shipping and travel time!! Items damaged due to shipping will not be an excuse to return them! Items can only be returned if you can prove that they were not as listed. Sorry to be so legalistic, but I’ve been burned a few times.

PHOTOS: I try to provide good photos of all my items so you can have a very good view of what you are purchasing. Note: Sometimes I’ll place a ruler or a familiar item, like a dollar bill, in the photos. These are placed there for scale only (they are not included with the purchase).

Returns: Items have a 30-day money back guarantee, (from the day you receive them). Items must be returned in the exact same condition as they were sent, or they will not be accepted as a return. Any item that was in original “factory sealed”, shrink-wrap can only be returned if shrink-wrap has not been removed or the factory seal(s) have not been broken! All our items are sent to you well packaged and should be returned in the same manner. (Especially fragile items or items containing small parts). Return postage will be your responsibility, unless you have first made arrangements with me. Artwork or items sold “as is” cannot be returned unless you can show me they were not described properly. (Duplication of our artwork is not permitted without written, signed permission from the artist)! Remember, used items are just that, used items (I don’t sell abused items unless they are being sold and listed for restoration, or as parts). I do my best to describe the conditions of my items in an honest manner. I don’t take responsibility for consequential damage, so I advise that you check your items soon after receiving them.

My goal is happy customers so don't hesitate to communicate with me!  I’m glad to answer questions. I hope you enjoy bidding on our Items. Thank you and God Bless!
