Antique railway fittings.

An early 20th century high quality large bronze Pullman railway carriage luggage hat and coat rack . A most beautiful and original bronze rack that still has traces of nickel plating comprising of upper and lower bar shelves , 8 x large coat hangers and three smaller hooks , the hooks are free to slide along the square rails to accommodate different wears . I’m not certain but this was not intended to take suit cases or the likes but passengers hats and coats as such as most larger luggage would have cause been taken to a baggage cart . This is an antique original not a reproduction it has been sensitively cleaned leaving its original patina , as a matter of note the threads holding the finials are Whitworth which suggests a British manufacturer but I’m certainly not sure as these were quite common on European trains of this period .
