Did not attempt to assemble the puzzle but counted the pieces and found there were 108.
At first thought there may be an issue and then realized that even though the box says 100 it DOES NOT say 100 pieces, just 100. Assuming it is the correct number since arranging the pieces 9x12 would be 108.
