Karel Appel ( 1921 - 2006 ) the Dutch born painter, sculptor, and poet began painting at the age of fourteen, and studied at the world famous Rijksakademie in Amsterdam in the 1940's. he was one of the founders of the Avant - Garde movement Cobra in the 1940's. he is considered to be one of the most important Modernist Avant - Garde artists of The 20th Century. Artworks by Appel are included in the collections of many prestigious museums worldwide.


The rare print framed silkscreen serigraph art print measures 20.5" W X 27.5" Modern yellow matte finish frame molding has some minor scratches with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
