This outfit comes with a History Lesson--- it embodies what things used to be like back before Amazon and Ebay.   Back in the early days of the Interweb, when people bought stuff IN stores and pricing research was a more difficult--- you had to call around or GO to stores.  Many folks like me Loved and HATED the process--- going to those Camera Stores in New York City when I wanted something big.  There were a bunch of really good ones around 20th Street and bunch more rather "notorious" ones up around Times Square. People would go to such stores to see and drool over the array of Tremendous products, but HATED the inevitable struggle to NOT Get Ripped Off by those pirates!  This outfit which someone (not me) bought in 1998 is a great example of the--- Bait & Switch and Price Gouging GAMES that those places used to play, and some still play today when a rube walks to the counter.

As you can see by the Invoice, a poor soul paid nearly $1000 for this rather mediocre setup (by today's standards).   The Nikon N70 body has a price sticker of nearly $600, but he was able to get it for a $329 bargain.  The two lenses he got for $379 when the 100-300 was priced at $329 by itself.   The strap "only" cost him $30, the bag only $50.   And two UV filters--- the buyer got a bargain with just $40 for those!   Yup.... that salesman saw this guy coming--- gave him a break on the body, robbed him on the other stuff.  And that's 1998 dollars---- inflation-adjusted, this Amazing Kit would cost $1800 today!
BUT it could be yours for less than $100 now!

Anyway---- it's a nice Vintage 35mm Film SLR Outfit---  from the mid 1990's.... when cameras were moving to very electronic and Autofocus, before Digital cameras hit the consumer market.  It's a Nikon N70 Body, with two Sigma AF lenses--- a 28-80mm Zoom and a 100-300mm zoom.   There's also the Nikon strap, and Bag which will fit it all without the boxes.  Just about everything that's on the Invoice is included, except for New batteries, a few pieces of the paperwork and the box for the 28-80mm lens.
It's all in Excellent Condition--- Cosmetically and Everything Working well as far as I can tell. The Exterior of the body and lenses have very little signs of use and age --- just a few tiny blemishes here and there, but no damage except for that light wear and tear.  I Have NOT tested it extensively, but it Looks Great and it's Ready to Shoot.

Technically.... I'm not a camera store technician, and I don't really know this model,  but it powers on and I can tell you it winds and the shutter fires---- with some "dummy" film shooting.   It has a lot of features and I didn't take the time to learn much of any of it---- but the Instruction book is there so you can.  The  Lenses are also in great condition---  very clean with bright coatings, maybe a few specs of dust inside.

Comes with everything you see--- Camera, Lenses, camera Strap, UV Filters, Polarizer filter (not the one shown... afterward I noticed it was the wrong size so I replaced it with a correct one), plus the Lens Caps, Papers, boxes & Cases.

Continental US Shipping will be $15.50. I will ship the next day after purchase. It will be packed well and safe. International Shipping via the ebay program.

PLEASE READ THIS--- By Buying you Agree with this--- I am not a store like Amazon. I'm just an old camera collector/shooter selling some Used items.  If you read all of the description you'll see I took the time to check out the item and give you an honest description.   But that said, and because eBay sux, I can't have things go back and forth based on opinion, or risk "part swapping" either.  I've been a photographer for 30+ years and I know how cameras work and what to look for and can recognize when something is broken.  But I can't "Bench Test" everything to factory specs, and understand every little bell and whistle. So I'm sorry, I can't sell this item on Approval--- it's being sold As Is, No Warranty, No Buyer's Remorse, No Try-outs, No Returns, sold As Is for collectible purposes, Unknown if perfectly functional.  I can't guarantee that every single aspect may be Perfect... especially when it's a 40+ year old item!  (and I can't guarantee how long it will serve, once you start using it regularly.)  Any significant defects that I know of are either pictured or described to the best of my knowledge and I try to be detailed and truthful, but I can't describe every every millimeter of it.   As expected with age, a used vintage camera could be found with a nick or blemishes here and there or a few additional specs of dust inside that I failed to mention, particularly inside the viewfinder... but they won't affect the photos and would hardly diminish it... unless you expect everything to be 100% Perfect.   I can't let people buy something, play with it, break it and then say it arrived that way.  I'm an honest guy, but there are many buyers who aren't.   What you see is what you'll get and I package my items well, so it arrives in the same condition as shown.

SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR MORE Interesting Items---- I'll be selling a large portion of my camera collection over the next few months, so check back and/or tell me what you're looking for. If you have questions about this or other items or combined shipping or other discounts---- please ask... Let's make a deal. Thanks
