Wild Stars 5: The Artomique Paradigm-Michael Tierney-Sold Out Limited First Edition Trade Paperback. This 50-copy limited edition featured a cover illustrated by Dark Filly and colorized by Raven. It also includes the front cover on the back, once again in virgin format but includes an added optical illusion meant to indicate her mental powers. Flipping back and forth, most readers can tell there is something different, but they aren't sure what until they place the covers side by side. To keep the mystery fresh for new readers, the back cover is not shown here. The Wild Stars are contracted to release a new volume every year, with the grand finale in 2028 with Wild Stars 12: The Star Harvesters.
The Artomique Paradigm was original serialized throughout the 1921 issues of Cirsova Magazine of Thrilling Adventure and Daring Suspense, and features a cover by Anton Oxenuk (who also illustrated the cover for Michael Tierney's posthumous collaboration with Edgar Rice Burroughs on "Young Tarzan") and a back cover by Genzoman, both from the magazine presentation. It is collected here along BONUS MATERIAL that includes a reprint of "The Boundaries of Decision" from the 1977 Multiversal Scribe Magazine, the first publication of a new epilogue, the original short story "Bees with Nuclear Stingers: A Templar Knight on the Roof of the World", and the Foreword/Afterword "The Birth of the Wild Stars".
The Artomique Paradigm takes place at the first formal reunion of Earth and their Wild Stars cousins. Erlik, the son of the Ancient Warrior, and former Earth President Bully Bravo hope that a summit between the myriad factions now populating space will bridge gaps and build trust throughout the galaxy. However, the Artomique Corporation aims to become one of the dominant players in Earth and interstellar politics using the stolen Wild Star technology they acquired in the late 20th Century. For them, this meeting is an opportunity to solidify Artomique Earth's dominance over the stars and implement the Artomique Paradigm. Plus, a secret alliance between the Artomique Corporation and space pirates led by the notorious Red Queen threatens to turn the balance of power in the galaxy upside down!
