Original GOLD STAR tomato box/tomato crate label. From circa 1930s for Tomatoes from Yakima Fruit & Cold Storage Company in Yakima, Washington. While the tomatoes that would have been packed under this box were probably grown in the lower Yakima Valley, they were packed in Yakima Fruit & Cold Storage Company's warehouse on Yakima's Fruit Row. Label is approximately 4" in height x 11" long and would have been used for a lug of tomatoes.
This is a unused new old stock produce/vegetable crate label that was leftover after packers switched from wooden boxes to cardboard in the 1960s - I only marked "used" so a person would not be confused with it being a reproduction as this is an original produce/vegetable label.
