From the W.M.V. Hoffman estate formerly of NYC and Tuxedo Park, N.Y. handed down through the generations, this auction is one plate (1) of a set of 12 Royal Doulton Cabinet Plates, Made in England for Tiffany & Company, New York. Hand painted and signed by H. Piper.
This is the plate entitled," Apricot". Approx. 9" in diameter with gold gilt trim. Very similar to the other Apricots plate.
The back has the Royal Doulton Logo, handpainted " Apricot", an ID number and an impression. The brown spot is from a moth cocoon that had been attached. I have not tried to wash it off.
