Hi you are bidding on a very rare French made Lemaire Extra Wide 7x35 binoculars with case.

These would be made in the early 1950s.  Lemaire was pretty much done with binoculars by 1955, with the last bunch mainly imported and sold by Jason, through Life Magazine ads.

Lemaire started making binoculars mainly opera glasses in 1846 in Paris, making them one of the first mfgs.

600ft at 1,000 yards.  Massive oculars bigger than a Quarter.

Collimation is good.  Hinge  and diopter are free turning, focuser is a bit stiff when it's cold.   Interior is very clean with a few artifacts but no mold or fungus.  There is some edge separation on the oculars but the oculars are so huge that this is not noticed.  The  view is very excellent.

   Comes with a decent case.

A great addition to a collection that is a bit different than the typical German and Japanese fare.

    Thanks for looking.
