D’ Aromas
Pepe Le Pew
The Three Musketeers

The inspiration for
Chuck Jones’s Pepe Le Pew as D’Aromas was taken from a favorite book of Chuck Jones, Alexandre Dumas, The Three Musketeers. The story follows young d’Artagnan and his three friends, Athos, Porthos, and D’ Aramis AKA D’Aromas Pepe Le Pew.
Heroic, swashbuckling, chivalrous swordsmen who fought for justice as they defended honor amidst the power struggles of 17th century France. Exciting, colorful action characters animated in true Jones cinematic cartoon style.
The original line drawing image was hand drawn on paper by Chuck Jones. A giclee was created of the original drawing on Somerset paper and hand signed by Chuck Jones. The accompanying Cel was hand painted. Chuck Jones approved each finished cel with his hand signature.
Lots of hand finishing on this limited edition diptych plus the hand signature’s on both pieces by Chuck Jones add’s to it’s appeal as a classic vintage limited edition collectible.
