The conditions 

1 Shipping: Add $10 Parcel Post

My standard shipping is with Australia Post’s Parcel Post satchels. I do not make money on shipping. Occasionally, the invoice you paid may have shown greater shipping than the actual satchel I used. In every such occasion, you will receive a refund of the excess at around the time of the tracking update.

2 Combined shipping: Of course I combine shipping - when you ask for this, you must advise which other specific items you want to combine & they must all end within 7 calendar days of each other. You must ask before the first auction ends so there is no risk that I will mail it before you finish your shopping. No exceptions.

3 Paying for combined shipping: If you want combined shipping, the easiest thing for you to do is NOT to pay individually for the items. Wait for the combined invoice instead which should arrive within 12 hrs of the last auction. Why so late? Because I could be asleep or busy. However, if you decide to pay invoices individually, I will always refund the excess shipping around the time of the tracking update. I will not reduce the shipping on the second invoice to provide the correct overall shipping because the invoices won’t be accurate on a standalone basis. No exceptions.

4a Shipping upgrade – before invoice paid If you want to revise the shipping, for example, Express Post instead of Parcel Post, please request it before the auction ends. That way, I can issue you the correct invoice up front. In some cases, I may not be able to revise the shipping, eg: If I cannot make the earlier trip to the post office. In such cases, I will let you know.

4b Shipping upgrade – after invoice paid If you have paid an invoice, please do not ask for a revision to shipping as you will be disappointed with my response. These cases require cancellation of the invoice & re invoicing & it normally takes more time than buyers are prepared to wait and the resulting dissatisfaction is not something I want to deal with. Hence I don’t offer this option.    

5 Tracking: All Parcel Post satchels are tracked with Aust Post. You can review the progress of the item on their website.

6 Discounts: Low prices & low margins mean no discounts. This includes no volume discounts & no best price requests. Use “Best Offer” where available. No exceptions. You can thank the low ballers for this condition.

7 Offline price negotiations & offline transactions: I don’t do either of these. No exceptions.

8 Pick ups: No pick ups, no meet ups & I don’t drink coffee. No exceptions.

9 Cancellations: I do not cancel bids, offers and wins unless ebay insists. Every week, I have double figures of non payers & ''buyers'' who cancel. As a result, I have a policy of no cancellations, no exchanges & no refunds for change of mind/errors etc. Ebay allows this. As a buyer, you need to find a way to deal with your now unwanted bid by yourself. This is a business transaction, not a swap party. Bid carefully as I am not responsible for your change of mind or errors. If you go into pork chop mode on this one, I wish you luck.

10 Buyer retracting their bid: If you retract your bid and select a false reason for the cancellation, you will be reported & blocked. Retraction of a bid for “Entered wrong amount” is not a get out of jail free card. You must then enter the correct amount or be reported /blocked. I check every single retraction.   

11 Non payers: Non payers will be reported & blocked irrespective of their reasons for non payment. Reasons such as hospitalization for brain surgery or a seizure, bidding while sleepwalking, child made the bid while playing on your phone, pensioner status, the age card, special needs buyer or children, single income status or no income status are not valid to excuse non payment.   

12 Abuse of the returns process: I only accept returns which ebay effectively gives me no option but to accept. If you abuse the returns process, you will be reported & blocked. Change of mind masquerading as “not as described” is classified as abuse of the returns process. Don’t. Go. There. Change of mind is any reason whatsoever other than faulty & can include don’t want it anymore, found it cheaper elsewhere, found something similar, the event was cancelled etc.

13 Can I exchange or get credit? No exchanges/credit unless ebay requires it. No exceptions.

14 Discount for flaws: I don’t give discounts for damaged/not as described (NAD) items which the buyer has in their possession. I will provide a refund where the proper ebay channels are followed. Of course, the buyer must return the goods. 

15 Can I get a Buy It Now (BIN)? Yes. BINs are +30% on the auction price. The uplift is payment for depriving other buyers from bidding and is ebay sanctioned. This will require a re-listing process and may expose the item to other bidders.   

16 Has it been sent yet? & When do I get my tracking info?

Please look at the ebay tracking field to see if the parcel has commenced its journey. This is far more efficient & reliable than me responding to you with a 22 digit tracking number in an email. I update tracking by the end of the day on which I posted the item. If tracking has been inserted, then the parcel is on its way. If so, then Australia Post should have an estimated arrival date. If the posting deadline has passed, you see no tracking or no arrival date & I have not contacted you about any problems, then please, speak up. Of course if you feel there are unreasonable delays or the tracking isn’t making sense, please contact me asap. 

17 Handling period: Ebay allows a 2 business day handling period b/w the time you pay & the time the item is posted. Handling period defers shipping for reasons such as time zone differences, allowing the seller to have a life or just to handle volumes of outgoing goods. Handling period always ends at midnight on a weekday whether you pay in the morning or at night. So your handling period can be up to 2.5 business days (60 hours), when you pay early in the day.

18 Communication: I don’t carry a cell phone around with me & I check into ebay probably once a day. By bidding you accept these conditions as well as the fact that if you send messages you may receive responses which are delayed by your standards. On this page, that is normal and you cannot change it by screaming at me. Have patience please or go elsewhere where the pace is faster & the prices are higher.  

19 Legitimate issues? That’s what I am here for. Within the bounds of these Conditions, I will do my absolute utmost to help you sort out any problems. If however, you want me to cancel yours bid for change of mind or start screaming at me & resort to bad feedback without an intelligent preceding dialogue and /or display sneaky self serving motives, I am pleased to say that you will not have a good experience here. Unlike most ebayers, I am happy to sacrifice good feedback for honesty. Happy Bidding!
