originally the 1940 Olympic Summer Games were awarded to Tokyo, but later on rescheduled to Helsinki - the runner up from the bidding process in the early 1930tees. However, due to the outbreak of WW II the games in Helsinki were cancelled
the certicate measures about 32 x 25 cm and is made out of paper, besides the front there is an attachement with 40 unsed coupons
the condition is still very good - except for a small cut at the left side of the top rim - see scan 6 - nothing really serious and somehow understandable after 88 years of age
