***Hallicrafters Simpson Model 27 Ammeter 0-50A range N.O.S.!***

Welcome.  I’ll start this with a bit of background.  I recently came across a trove of electronic items from an estate.  The former owner was an engineer with a company called Hallicrafters (yes, THAT one!). He apparently was there at the demise of the company and purchased a number of items from the R&D labs.  I am auctioning off a number of them in the next month.  Please pay particular attention to the meters I am offering as some of them are hard to come by.  Pretty much all of them don’t have a Hallicrafters name on them.  Some don’t bear any manufacturers name at all.  Those that I was able to identify to a particular model of Hallicrafters radio are labeled.  Otherwise, the Hallicrafters part number will help to identify it.  These are mostly NOS (New, Old Stock) items.  I will point out all that appear to be used. This auction is for the following item:

This is a Simpson Model 27 Amps Meter with a range of 0-50A.  In its original box with cutout and mounting information right on the box.  When I did the information lookup on this model, I was taken aback by the number of model 27 Simpsons there were, all with different ranges and with both Ammeters and voltmeters.  I guess Simpson was only allowed 27 model numbers for their entire inventory.

I will do my best to answer any question sent to me regarding my auctions.

Shipping is figured for the winning bidder ONLY!  This include both domestic and foreign.  I've had as many as 14 requests for shipping estimates on a single auction!  (And not one of them bid!)

                                                      Payment & Terms:

Paypal

Have another payment plan? e-mail me.  If it doesn't involve a personal or business check, we can talk.

Packaging fees are common sense based.  I'm just interested in covering the time & materials used (Usually $2.00-15.00).  99% of my auctions got out at the lower end of that list.  The more time & materials used, the higher the fee. You won't find an $8.00 "handling charge"  masquerading behind a 99¢ auction here. And if you think about it, you'd really rather spend the money on careful packaging than to have your fragile purchase just shoved into some old box and sent to you unprotected. I've had that happen and so have plenty of others, but none of them were my customers.

Shipping is done via USPS
Priority Mail or FedEx Ground.   Large/Heavy items (over 10#) are shipped by FedEx ground and require a street address,  NOT A P.O. BOX.  If you don't have an address, borrow one!  Send it to your work address,  or your uncle Ephram's house instead.  NO UPS!

Buyer is to pay all shipping, packaging (where applicable), and insurance costs (MANDATORY for electronics, cameras, collectables, or high-ticket items.) from zip 60565.

I DON'T DO RETURNS!  This is for several reasons:

This is an auction site, not J.C. Penny or Macy’s

With eBay’s inane guarantee policy, they want me to pay for shipping both ways  (While I don’t mind the guarantee, I feel that eBay should cover the shipping.  It’s their policy after all)

I’ve had “returns” that weren’t the item that I shipped.

I describe anything I sell as best I can. If you need more info to determine whether to bid, email me, but please don’t do it at the last moment, most everything is at my warehouse.  I’ll have to go there to check it.

After20+ years on eBay, I’ve had a few “it’s not the right color”, “it’s not the right size”, “It doesn’t work in my application”, etc.  Hey sorry, but that is not my fault.  On this auction site it’s up to the buyer to handle the due diligence on their purchases.

THE SOLE EXCEPTION:

If I ship the wrong item or glaringly screw up on the description, email me and we’ll see if we can work out an equitable solution to the problem.

I pack well. but uninsured items go out at YOUR risk.
