Dinky #449 - Johnston Road Sweeper in it's original window box, this model is from my father's own personal collection which he has owned from new so I know it's hardly ever been removed from it packaging, I've checked the model over (but not with a magnifying glass) and it appears to be in beautiful mint condition but I've listed it as near mint just in case I've missed something, any flaws found are either factory related or down to age because I know the model has never been played with but please view all the images using the zoom in option as what you see will be the exact item you will receive if you're the winning bidder, model has beautiful Lime Green paintwork on the cab and tank which was standard for these last issue versions that came with sealed doors, clear glass and white interior but none came with number plate stickers, both the black & white striped labels are mint with no damage or lifting, it also comes with the silver painted grill and front bumper with circular headlights but some versions came with the same silver grill and front bumper but with square headlights, (the slightly harder to find version came with the black painted grill and bumpers with silver painted square headlights), the small grey extension hose is still clipped in place, the rotating brushes and spring mechanism are mint, all the rubber tyres and hubs are mint with no rub marks whatsoever on the tyres, all wheels and axles are nice and straight, black painted Dinky Toys Made In England metal base. 

The original window box is in near mint condition with only very minor age related / shelf wear on a couple of edges and corners, the carded inner plinth is excellent with only minor wear but the last picture shows a small magic tape repair to one corner which can't be seen when the models in the box, the original acetate window is still nice and clear with some very minor creasing but no holes or splits, the outer box and header card are free of any repairs or pen marks and are still lovely and rigid with crisp bright colours, the hanging hole on the header card is still unpunched and there's no old price labels anywhere on the outer box, produced between 1977/79 both the model and box in my opinion are beautiful examples of late 1970's Dinky toys new old stock.

I have taken as many pictures as possible to show every angle of the model and box so anyone bidding can see what you are bidding on as it will be exactly what you are getting.
