1994 Coach Built - FRANKIA Mobil i530 motor home.

The Tardis,  just 5.3 metres in length but with interior space comparable with a much larger vehicle.  Just 125k Km or 77k Miles in 30 years and a near impeccable MOT history are evidence of how well this motorhome has been looked after.  We will proudly encourage any buyer to inspect underneath, and find a chassis that is completely free of rust.

At huge expense, we’ve fitted 350 Watts of RENOGY solar panels, feeding a 175Ah Lithium leisure battery through a 30A MPPT solar controller, we chose this setup for its fully automated:

  • Fast charge and maintenance of the leisure battery.
  • A thermometer on the battery tells the charging system when best to charge, how fast, and when not to. for the longest possible battery life and safety.
  • If the leisure battery is full, solar will automatically top-up the engine battery so there is never anxiety about a flat battery breakdown.
  • When the engine is running, alternator charges the leisure battery in tandem with the solar panels
  • Ample capacity to add more panels or batteries should you choose, without having to rip out and start new.

All of this can be monitored on the charge controller itself, or with Bluetooth connectivity through your smartphone.  With labour and wiring, this system would cost circa £7k at a garage now.

240V Connectivity from the outside allows lighting, Television and the 3-way fridge to run independently of the leisure battery.

Upgraded (to modern) 12V ‘blade fuse’ consumer unit with independent fusing for all key appliances (if something were to fail, all other appliances will continue working so you can finish your holiday)

Self contained bathroom with flushing chemical toilet, sink and shower with hot and cold running water.  Fresh water tank under the bench seat (no freezing) and grey water tank under the vehicle.

Kitchen galley has gas oven/grill, a two-burner gas stove with fold down glass top, overhead extractor fan with 12V and 240V lights, sink with hot and cold running water.

Freeview TV through a pop-up aerial that can be erected from inside the bathroom, no trips up the outside ladder.  The 18” Flat screen TV can operate on both 12V and 240V and is fitted on a swivel bracket to suit viewing from any seat.

Blinds curtains and fly nets throughout.

Ample storage at the rear than can be accessed from both inside and out as well as generous hanging wardrobe space, overhead cabinets all round and designated secure cubby for gas bottles outside that is totally separated from the living space.

Warm and dry.  No signs of damp anywhere, new or old.  All upholstery is in fantastic condition. Swivel captain chairs with arm rests for both driver and passenger.  Sleeping for a cosy 4 people. Bespoke Polar windscreen cover for insulation and additional privacy. Large roll-out awning with aluminium legs.

Mechanically, this motorhome has looked after us as we have looked after it.  Flawlessly reliable.

  • 4 recent tyres, approximately 500 miles ago
  • Cam belt and tensioner less than 2k miles ago, with full service at that time.
  • New clutch in 2024.

Would consider Part Exchange with cash your way for a motorhome with fixed double bed. circa 5.5 to 7 metres long. Solar and bathroom with shower.
