'(2) Norfolk Hill.' by 'P. Victor & Co. Official Photographers, Mesp. Exp. Force.' Victor was the official Expeditionary Force photographer. His cards appear to be scarce.
This came with a few photos of army officers etc. and I think they were in the Norfolk Regiment but I am still working on identification. I could not locate a 'Norfolk Hill' but I wonder if the hill is one of those hills that the Regiment was ordered to take from the Turks, so that they could control the water irrigation supply. The railway line may not have been there long - the British built many miles of rail track in a short time. So the hill, with the cross, could have been named after the regiment?
