Description:

Museum Piece.

Extremely rare and striking, four-pieces "Modernistic" silver-plated brass Coffee Service with geometric angular Design comprised of a Coffeepot, Creamer, Covered Sugar and Tray.

This design doesn´t cease to amaze us at every glance, in it, we find Czech Cubism, German Bauhaus, exaggerated Art Deco, American Machine Age and The Jazz Age, all the modernism from 20th century.
We don't know the author, but, we have traveled the works and designs of the masters as: Josef Gočár, Pavel Janák, Vlastislav Hofman, Erik Magnussen, Maison Desny, Elsa Tennhardt, Helen Hughes Dulany, Elwood North Cornell. We could attribute it to any of them.
Probably that this is a hand executed One-Off design experimental model that never industrialized or perhaps very few examples of this work survive.
Each piece of this coffee service has a plain paneled inverted pyramidal form standing on three angular foots with circular feet. The surface of each piece is plain and unembellished, sharp points, slicing planes, crystalline shapes.
On the top panel of each piece we find domes as caps whit triangular knobs respecting the design.
The coffeepot and the creamer are fitted with impressive angular handles, that accompany the design of the pieces.
The circular tray has symmetrical eight holes, four for each side, designed to insert the fingers and take the set.
The domed covers of the pieces, the feet, the tray with it holes, are the circular movement that harmonizes with the triangles. The service shows a great dynamic.... the pieces dance on the tray!!!

VALUE REFERENCE:

Unfortunately we don't have a reference to value this set.
It's very difficult since we did not find another same one in our bibliography or any history of auctions sales.
We can only consider our valuation based on other similar and knowledge and experience of 40 years collecting decorative objects from the 20th century and recognizing those extremely rare and special.

Condition:

Like Pristine. Professional cleaned.

Excellent original condition, "as found” some minor wear and scratches on the silver-plate.

"Not re-plated". Photos have been provided of multiple angles to show the accurate condition of the items.
