Welcome to Frogabilia!

We are a Greek/English family-run business established in the UK in 2011. Since then we have built up a large collection of unique items,
hand-picked from private collectors sales.

Our choice of items is based on quality, craftsmanship, cultural interest and beauty. We research every single item and aim to provide as much information as possible about its history and provenance.

We speak English perfectly, as well as understanding Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and French, so please do communicate without fear for any questions you may have. We are here to help and provide any information you need at all times.

We have been packing and sending items abroad for many years and have successfully delivered even the most fragile pieces including Venetian mirrors, carved chairs and arabesque tables.

Customer satisfaction is assured; please do take the time to look at the excellent feedback we have received over the years.

We hope you enjoy browsing our stock and feel reassured that you can buy with confidence:-)

This Listing is for:
An Arthurian Mythical Chess Set Metal Painted Vintage Rare
Maybe depicts King Arthur against Merlin & Queen Boudica? (though it would be chronologically inaccurate).
Maybe the the lady of the lake?
If anyone has any more information about this chess set I would like to know as I was unable to find any information.
Made with fine detail and good facial expressions and costume detail.
With astrological signs on the base of the figures.
The anvils and celtic stones are weighted.
All pieces are painted in a silvery white colour which enhances the details and atmospere of this chess set.
I do not no what the metal is and it may contain lead, in which case this would be more suitable for collector/display rather than playing. Not recommended for children.

 - NO BOARD!!!
The board in the photos is for display only and not included in this sale!!!
Sold in separate listing!!!

Dimensions:
Tallest figures: 9 cm high approx.
Pawns: approx. 5 cm tall
Condition:
Generally this is in good condition.
There are some chips here an there on edges/fingers on a couple of figures but this is not immediately noticeable.
One of the bishops staff top has broken off and glued temporarily, but ideally needs welding to hold in place.
