"Swann's latest volume of one hundred paintings and pen drawings presents a living, detailed record of South Australian landscapes, from the dry red North to the lush South-East.

Travelling has always been a part of this artist's craft, and each trip has produced its own images; images that include our early rural architecture, as well as the natural beauty of farmland and grazing country.

From the South Australian coastline come scenes of the Coorong, ports, harbours and finishing boats, all captured with a sympathetic eye. And the impression is completed with glimpses of the State's urban landscapes, as the streets of Adelaide and her suburbs find their place in this collection.

All the drawings were done on site. The oil paintings were complete in the artist's Adelaide studio from sketchbook notes."
