RS Series...Radio Shack style replacement foam grille inserts..
Brand new.One pair (Two Charcoal Gray foam inserts)....*No wood frames or speakers included, only the two foam grille inserts*
These are brand new replacement sculpted foam grille inserts that fit directly into the walnut trim grille frames of vintage JBL L-100 Century speakers..(These will fit all L-100 models from the 1970's including the early in-line driver layout,century,and L-100a)
These are styled after the Radio Shack style replacement foam grille inserts
sold in the radio shack stores in a larger size that could be cut to fit as
needed... Know as ''The Original JBL
foam grille Replacements" many L-100 owners bought them after their original JBL foam
grilles disintegrated and cut them down to fit their L-100 walnut
frames..The only problem was once they were
cut you was left with uneven borders or no borders at all..These solve
that problem since they are already cut perfectly to size to fit into
the wood frames of the vintage L-100 century speakers and leave a even
border all the way around the outside!..No cutting at all, just glue them in!..
The thickness of this foam is consistent with the original Radio Shack foam and therefore is significantly thinner than the original JBL style foam..
The Charcoal Gray color is throughout and is the foams natural color, no paint has been applied..There are no lowered cubes for badge placement on these, and no badges are included..
The foam inserts will need to be Glued into your original wood frames and the original black cloth mesh that is stapled inside the wood frames is required to help support the foam inserts ..*No wood frames included in this sale*

*Note.. This
is a soft flexible foam, it is not stiff or rigid like a board, and
also it cannot be stretched tight.. It has to be securely glued into the
wood frames and also glued to the black mesh cloth centers in the
frames exactly how JBL installed the original foam inserts..The old JBL
glue pattern can be seen in the wood frames..Just follow the old glue
pattern..Not installing correctly by simply only applying a little bit
of glue around the edges is not enough to hold the new inserts flat and
will not work..More detailed info on the installation are include in the
box..Also these inserts will arrive very lightly rolled in a smaller
more standard sized box, don't be alarmed, it will not hurt the foam or
paint in anyway..This shipping method saves you up to $16 in
shipping costs compared to a large flat box...
