Rewards and Fairies - By Rudyard Kipling

Doubleday Page & Co 1919

Originally published in 1910, this is a 1919 edition with the very rare dust jacket. While this can be read as a stand-alone book, this book is a follow up of Kipling's earlier work, "Puck of Pook's Hill" published in 1906. "Rewards and Fairies" is a book consisting of historical fantasy short stories and poems narrated by figures throughout Sussex history, or by the elf Puck, to two children, Dan and Una. One of Kipling's best known poems, IF, was originally published in this book.

The jacket has some light wear, mainly some chipping and some foxing, but still displays nicely considering its age. The jacket protected the book extremely well and is in beautiful condition with minor wear. Clean interior with minor foxing to the inside boards / end pages and an inscription of the original owner. Overall a very nice copy with a rare jacket.
