Technically 

Description/cleaning:

Very good condition. As expected there is signs of aging, mainly from dust. The dust has been cleaned off where it was possible (and where it was near essential dust sensitive parts). PCBs appear as new with absolutely no corrosion. Has been serviced fairly recently, where the bias has been set correctly, and some traces on the pcbs have been reinforced.

Test of essential parts:

I have tested all transistors for temperature sensitivity showing no signs of faults. I have tested the large filter capacitors, and they are well within expected tolerances. (Largest deviation is approx. 5 %, and I expect these to be +/- 10 or +/- 20 %). The capacitors show no signs of aging. I have included pictures of the capacitor measurements.

Model M-4 frequency response test:

White noise generated by REW EQ program through focusrite 2i2 96 kHz soundcard into Model 4. Output from Model 4 goes back to the soundcard, and the curve is observed. I have made 4 measurements: No EQ, EQ = full boost, EQ = full cut, RIAA correction.

This show very good responses with very reactive EQs, and a RIAA curve within the standard.

Model one frequency response test:

A tone is generated from a Leader LAG-125-01 tone generator at 0 dB (0,775 V). The frequency is varied from 30 Hz to 20 kHz, and the output is measured over a 8 ohm load.

Specifications state that the output must not deviate more than 0,5 dB, which the machine is well within (largest deviation is < 0,2 dB).

Audio tests:

The system have been tested for overall performance by listening to both and AUX source playing music and a Pioneer PL-600 playing vinyls through the Phono connection. I have both tested the sound quality through a set of JBL monitor 4206 and a set Pioneer Prologue 8, with absolutely stunning sound.
