ORIGINAL U.S. M8A1 SCABBARD GERMAN MADE BLACK FINISH UNISSUED.  This is a German made variation of the U.S. M8A1 scabbard.  This scabbard will fit the U.S. M3 trench knife, the U.S. M-1 carbine bayonet & the M5, M6 & M7 bayonets.  The scabbard throat is marked "U.S. M8A1 MADE IN GERMANY."  The hanger is made of olive drab color web.   The rivets on the web hanger are marked by the German manufacturer "EICKHORN SOLINGEN".  The scabbard body retains most of its original black factory finish showing some minor storage scuffs.  The retaining snap is in woking order.  In overall excellent unissued condition.
