Offered here is an Easton Press first edition of John S. D. Eisenhower's (the son of President Dwight D. Eisenhower) So Far From God.  This book is a detailed account of the war between Mexico and the United States from 1846 to 1848.  "The Mexican War is one of the least know and least understood conflicts in American history even though it produced the highest death rate of any war in our history."  Eisenhower's "...narrative combines the story of America's emerging spirit of Manifest Destiny with vivid portraits of the war's most significant military and political leaders."

This Easton Press edition comes with the original Notes From History and is signed by the author.

The book exhibits all of the outstanding characteristics of Easton Press books: accented in 22kt gold. Printed on archival paper with gilded edges. The endsheets are of moire fabric with a silk ribbon page marker.  Smyth sewing and concealed muslin joints to ensure the highest quality binding. This book is in full leather with hubbed spines.

This volume is in excellent condition with no extraneous marks or missing pages.  The gilding is still bright and undamaged.  The only detriment is a prior owner's plate attached to the interior of the front board.

Please see the associated pages for a better indication of the quality of this volume.
