John Mellor is a Peak District artist and graphic designer who lives in Whaley Bridge and focuses mainly on painting buildings and landscapes. He is a member of Birmingham Watercolour Society and has exhibited at The Royal Society of Painters In Watercolours, Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours and Royal Society of Marine Artists to name a few. His work is held in private collections around the world and he has won awards for his landscapes. This tranquil watercolour shows Lake Gwynant in Snowdonia North Wales which lies on the River Glaslyn in the Nant Gwynant valley. With lots of yellows and greens to the surrounding hills and mountains which are beautifully reflected in the lake. Lots of depth and detailing to the sky and surrounding area. Signed in the bottom right corner, framed in slim gilt wood with double mount of dark green and cream. In very good condition with no damage, please see photos.
