Vintage Antique 1800’s August Pollmann Pollmann’s Helicon. It appears to be brass and is marked August Pollmann’s Professionals New York in script on outside of bell. Henry August Pollmann was born in 1846. He was a German brass instrument maker and importer. Helicon is in good condition with normal wear for age. It has marks to surface and some small dents. It could use a good cleaning. The bell measures about 12.5” in diameter. Whole instrument measures about 36” X 25”. Valves are intact and measure about 3/4” in diameter each. Includes mouthpiece, though not sure if original. Metal portions of bell look to be dovetailed.
