This is a beautiful solid wood spinet desk. It was manufactured by the Wilhelm Furniture Company in Sturgis, Michigan. The company lasted from 1911-1932 when they made a large line of high quality furniture. They merged with the Royal Chair Company in 1932 and, like many companies, closed shortly thereafter due to the depression and many companies moving to the south where production was cheaper.

This desk is from probably the 1920's. I believe it is mahogany. The top opens up and it has a pull out writing surface and lots of storage cubbies in the back. It also has a pull out drawer underneath the writing surface.

It is stamped with the company logo and numbered adding value to the antique.
